AttendeesExecutive Board: Bob Shultz, Mark Smith, Trudy Garringer, Jean Barney, Kevin HarperCoordinators: BJ Gordy, Matt Drinnon, Holly Hatch, Susan Ellis Minutes1. Adding a player on mid girls- Girls are worn out. Proposed to go 9 vs. 9 - Bob will talk to Corey and get feedback from coaches. 2. Update on equipment (flags, etc.) - Dilapidated pads over poles, misc. Items that need maintenance 3. Full painting of U10 fields - Mark proposed not using tape and painting instead. He will paint the U10 fields before Saturday. 4. Recap on opening day - Great feedback from referee reports. - Smokey Mtn will add sandwiches. - Mids were running behind with no sense of urgency about getting things going. 5. Kids cup artwork - Postponed 6. Uniforms & equipment - Postponed 7. Newsletters - Postponed 8. Mtg with Park/Rec - Bob will arrange a mtg with Jake Garro to talk about additional fields in the event we add more divisions above Upper Mid. 9. Coordinators - Postponed 10. Scholarships - 18 out of 46 families showed up for the mtg. - Trudy can draft a letter to get the attention of no-shows. - Joi used a lot of scholarship resources for uniforms which has left some volunteer needs shorthanded. 11. Coach pick-ups - Pickup games have been going well 12. Clarification of the "Cherry Picking Rule" - Clarification needed for coaches and parents on purpose and implementation of cherry picking rule - perhaps in the newsletter. 13. Increased pay for Sr. MID referees - $20 center / $10 ar currently - $25 / $12 proposed - Consider moving to 45 min. halves so our games can count toward red certification. 14. Referee report - 38 games/53 refs available 15. Financials - Financials presented by Trudy - Discussed refunds 16. Insurance review with Bob Henry from Henry's Insurance - $25K coverage after $3K deductible if player has insurance. If not, only $100 deductible. $7.25 per player, covers coaches and refs as well. - $1 million coverage for organization covering board members for decisions made - defense attorneys, judgements, etc. Respectfully Submitted by Kevin Harper, Secretary |
